Large yoga studios filled with 30 students can be invigorating, but aren’t for everyone. If you would like more individual attention and instruction from a Yoga Australia qualified yoga teacher with a physiotherapy background, our small classes may be the answer for you.

Leslee Mordaunt completed her Bachelor of Science (Physical Therapy) at the University of Toronto, then completed a Post Graduate Diploma of Manipulative Therapy at Curtin University. With over 30 years of experience in physiotherapy, Leslee believes the mind can have a powerful effect on the body, the pain experience and recovery. The unique combination of movements found in yoga, in addition to the breathing and relaxation components, can be a valuable addition to physiotherapy treatment or enjoyed on their own, and are extremely beneficial for preventative health.

Her aim is to create classes that make you feel energized at the end, not exhausted.  Classes usually are comprised of attention to the breath, flowing movements (vinyasa), standing balance and strength poses, muscle lengthening poses, and a meditation/relaxation component. Yoga is not just about stretching–in fact, overstretching can cause injuries and block the flow of energy in the body.

Classes are in her Dalkeith home studio, or on the balcony when weather permits.
